SummerSalt

What In The World Is Summersalt?

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR STUDENTS? Two Reasons!! Number one ~ Summersalt is different from any other camp experience. The strong thematic structure and the visual impact of the drama enable us to meet students where they are and move them toward where Christ wants them to be. Number two is the staff. A wonderfully gifted group of collegiate and seminary leaders put in many months of preparation prior to your students arriving. They are mature enough to speak with authority while still being young enough to connect. They are as passionate about your students as you are.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS SUMMERSALT? HELP! White Oak Conference Center is located between Columbia and Charlotte , just off Interstate 77. It’s the perfect location for a camp experience…away from many of the distractions other locations struggle with. White Oak offers all of the space and facilities needed to impact students. Water sports, swimming pool, Frisbee Golf and several large athletic areas make a great setting for the “Challenge Recreation Activities” that enhance each year’s theme. Hotel style rooms offer much more comfort than the traditional dorm style setting. (Chaperone only areas provide a place for the adults to reenergize.)

SUMMERSALT IS THE MOST UNIQUE CAMP EXPERIENCE AVAILABLE IN STUDENT MINISTRY! With an incredible energy level, students are confronted with issues and challenges that are affecting their lives now. Each summer’s experience is marked by a specific theme that’s woven throughout every element of the camp. From the opening celebration of the morning to lights out each evening, the theme is both transparent and consistent. Student-focused interactive Bible Studies (presented differently to middle school and high school students) are brought to life in the imaginations of those attending each evening’s worship. Our most unique and effective tool is the drama written specifically for each summer’s theme. This drama is more than a few skits to introduce worship. It is a progressive story revealing the thematic consequences, both good and bad, in the lives of the characters. It takes the full five days for the story to be told. Students leave with the visual image of God’s truths coming to life. Years later students can tell you about the drama, its characters and the impact on their walk with Christ.

Thank you for considering Summersalt this year. Our goal is simple; we want your students to be different when they head for home.
